Haul a Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engine from Montreal to Los Angeles
CONTEXT
After an accident on the tarmac at the Los Angeles airport involving an A330, our client had to cancel a scheduled flight when the aircraft could not fly back to its airport of origin.
The Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engine was retrieved the same day of the incident from the Montreal maintenance hub.
Our team of experts were called in to coordinate the emergency transportation of the engine from Montreal to Los Angeles.
Out of the cradle, the engine measured 5.639 m x 2.47 m x 2.47 m and weighed 6,160 kg.
A double drop deck trailer with an outrigger was required to stabilize the high centre of gravity.
RESULTS
A team of drivers managed to get the engine from Montreal to Los Angeles in 56 hours. The strength of our team lies in our ability to understand and be responsive to our clients’ needs and continuously exceed their expectations.
